The story

How it happened

Christopher spent periods of time in hospital receiving support with mental health issues. Working in partnership with Northern Healthcare, Fairhome has been able to transform Christopher’s life by providing him with a ‘whole life’ home. Christopher lives independently through supported living and has been able to remain out of hospital.

Christopher commented:

Before I came here, I was in real distress and coming to this housing has really saved my life. “The staff are really good. They care, they listen, and they help in any way you need them.

Christopher added:

It has transformed my life. It’s made me want to be alive. Before I couldn’t care less whether I lived or died, but now I want to live because it’s sheer happiness and joy.

I am so grateful for getting a place here. Everybody has helped me so much.
